STATEMENT OF COMPANY HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY
The company recognizes the duties placed upon it by the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, to provide places, safe & adequate plant, materials and work systems, strong safety supervision with the relevant information instruction & training to ensure competence in our workforce without risks to health of employees and other persons who may be affected by the Company's operations.
When planning or tendering for new work, designing, constructing or maintaining items of plant or equipment, the above duties will be given full consideration.
Every employee of the Company must be aware of their responsibility to take reasonable care of himself and others and to co-operate with the company to fulfil its duties under the Act.
The policy will be achieved through the actions of all the employees of the Company in general and in accordance with their detailed special responsibilities.
The overall responsibility for implementation
and monitoring of the policy is vested in the writer; Mr A Mullen
assisted by fellow
directors Mr G Linsley & Mr P Mullen. This will be achieved
by compliance with legal requirements. The policy will be reviewed
at regular intervals and revised as necessary. It will be circulated
to all existing and new employees individually.
QUALITY POLICY STATEMENT
Marine Scaffolding Ltd recognize that the maintenance
of quality standards in all activities is the key to our success
and reputation.
The company is therefore committed to a policy to provide services,
which fulfil the requirements and expectations of our customers
in all ways and also where necessary meets with regulatory requirements.
In order to achieve these objectives a documented quality system which meets the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 : 2000 has been established and the Directors are responsible for establishing such company objectives which can be measured and are consistent with customer requirement and also the aspirations of the company
The system operates from the receipt of an enquiry, through the processing of an order up to the completion of the work. These processes together with other processes operated within the company are the focus of the system and performance is monitored to provide the source of information, which can be used to identify improvements.
The processes and practices are described in the Quality Manual together with procedures and other documents which all employees comply with. Objective evidence is provided to demonstrate that the system is maintained and that required standards are achieved.
It is the common aim of the company to seek continual improvement of the management system in the most cost effective manner with an aim to ensure that work is performed on time, within budget and in accordance with agreed requirements and accepted safe practices.
All employees are made aware of this policy and its objectives and are committed to its implementation.
Maintenance of the system is achieved through ongoing verification
activities together with appropriate training and education of
those involved and the overall improvements sought are monitored
as part of the regular management review of the system.
